i just thought this part was badass, she thought XD

so i watched the korra finale and have a lot to say

1.I admit, I was excited throughout the entire finale, but it honestly felt really rushed. I mean, I liked the whole Korra-suddenly-getting-her-bending-taken-away part because I thought, “Oh no! Oh wait maybe this means that in the next book (Book of Water) she’s gonna re-learn how to bend water, and then in the next book - fire, then earth, because maybe she can still bend, because y’know, that other fan theory wherein Amon isn’t really taking away someone’s bending and he’s just faking it - maybe the korra gang will find a way to counter that while going around the world learning avatar stuff that korra is supposed to learn” ……BUT NO, THAT FAN THEORY WAS CRUSHED WHEN AANG POPPED UP OUTTA NOWHERE AND GAVE KORRA BACK HER BENDING. Srsly, I feel as if the korra gang is having things a lot easier than the original team avatar.

2.It was never revealed how Amon can “take” someone’s bending away. It was speculated and guessed by Korra that “he was using bloodbending to somehow take away someone’s bending” but it was never fully revealed. And now we can never get the straight answer from Amon himself, BECAUSE HE’S FUCKING DEAD.

3.Yeah, about that. I honestly thought that that was a surprising thing for the LoK creators to do, y’know, the whole suicide-in-a-speedboat and all. When Tarlok’s eyes were shifting from the equalist armor to Noatak, I thought he was gonna electrocute him and replace Amon and be the real bad guy, or something. BUT NO. THEY’RE BOTH FREAKIN DEAD. Which really made me gasp, but then I’m wondering WHO’S GONNA REPLACE AMON AS THE BAD GUY NOW I MEAN HE WAS REALLY AWESOME AND MYSTERIOUS BUT NOW HE’S DEAD.

4.Tenzin’s family was supposed to have gotten away. They never tackled on that. And where did they keep Lin? They should’ve showed her all disheveled in prison or something, but trying so hard to bend, I don’t know but dammit IT WAS SO RUSHED I DONT KNOW ANYMORE

5.Oh, and don’t even get me started on how much of a douchebag Mako is being. Asami is AWESOME, actually. And Bolin?? BOLIN SHOULD HAVE MORE SCREEN TIME ONE OF THESE DAYS.

6.I think they should’ve also had more screen time when they were in their underground secret hideout, with that hobo guy and all. It would be nice to know what’s in those people’s heads, and why they can live harmoniously as benders and non-benders.

7.Another fan theory that was crushed: Asami being so hurt by Mako, and that gives her enough reason to betray them and join the Equalists, thereby relaying to them all the information about Korra, and her being reunited with her father because she now knows what it feels like to be so hurt by a bender. BUT NO. MAKO NEVER APOLOGIZED AND ASAMI’S JUST THERE AND MAKO’S ALL “I LOVE YOU KORRA” WHAT THE FUCK NOT COOL. Kids should NOT be watching stuff like that, because they might get the impression that being a two-timing asshole is okay and that everyone’s gonna be just fine and peachy about it

8.Korra should have had more screen time with her interaction with the spirit world. She should have also had more exposure to air bending and learning how to air bend more since she just discovered that she could finally air bend. She should also have had a longer time being devastated over the loss of her other bending powers - well sure, she cried on that cliff for like, what, 15 seconds? Right before Aang showed up and just gave her bending back. That was awesome, but it just seemed so…. easy. RUSHED. DAMMIT, SO RUSHED.

9.And general iroh keeps it on lock like a boss.
